Delete account
Last updated: October 2026
This is how you delete your Familienplaner account, and your data with it. You can do it yourself at any time from your account. If you can no longer get into your account, write to us. Familienplaner is provided by Schönebergerin UG (haftungsbeschränkt).
Save first
Download what you want to keep first: the events as a calendar file or spreadsheet and all data as one file, on the web in the settings under “Your data”. Nothing can be restored after the deletion.
On the web
- Sign in at familienplaner.app/sign-in.
- Open “Settings”, in the menu at your name or under “More”.
- Choose “Delete account” at the very bottom and confirm the deletion, with your password if your account has one.
By email
If you can no longer get into your account, write to info@schoenebergerin.de, ideally from the address you sign in with, and with the subject “Delete account”. So that no one else can have your account deleted, we ask back if we cannot match the email to an account with certainty. We delete the account without undue delay, within one month at the latest, and confirm it to you by email.
What is deleted
With your account we permanently delete your name, your email address and your password, the sign-ins of your devices, your settings, your calendar addresses for forwarded emails and your calendar links.
If you created the family, we also delete everything that belongs to it, including family members, events, tasks, the shopping list, birthdays, stored emails with their analysis, subscribed calendars, invitations and family displays. Other accounts of this family lose access to it and return to their own calendar.
If you joined a family, we delete your account, your calendar addresses and your own calendar, as well as the family displays you paired there; your invitations that are still open no longer apply. The family calendar stays; your family member stays in it, without a sign-in.
What remains
What remains is an entry in the email block list if you blocked your address there, because we could not respect the block otherwise, as well as entries in the error log and the key figures of the AI analyses. The user ID stored there can no longer be linked to any account after the deletion. We delete entries in the error log at the latest 90 days after the error last occurred, and the key figures of the AI analyses after one year.
If you joined a family, what you entered there or forwarded to it stays with the family, such as events, tasks and the shopping list, and the forwarded emails with sender, subject and text, which all accounts of the family can read.
Forwarded emails first arrive in a mailbox at IONOS SE, from which Familienplaner imports them. The copy there is not deleted with the account; it remains until we clean up the mailbox. In addition, deleted data remains in the database backups for a limited time, at most 30 days, until they expire.
You can read more about this in the privacy policy at familienplaner.app/en/datenschutz.
